Getting There

Bus
From Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop on the main road, Triq Sant' Antnin. Take bus number 31 or 133 towards Mġarr. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop 'Mġarr'. Once you disembark, follow the signs to Għajn Tuffieħa, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. You will walk through the village of Mġarr, following the signs that lead to the beach.

Head to the Sliema ferry terminal, which is a short 20-minute walk from Gzira. At the terminal, take the ferry to Gozo. Once you arrive at the Gozo ferry terminal, take a local bus or taxi to Mġarr. The bus will take you closer to Għajn Tuffieħa, and you may need to walk for about 15 minutes from the bus stop to reach the beach.

If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from Gzira to Mġarr. Start by heading towards the seafront promenade and enjoy the views of Valletta. Continue walking along the coast and follow the signs towards Mġarr. This route will take you through some beautiful landscapes and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach Mġarr, follow the signs for Għajn Tuffieħa, approximately a 15-minute walk from the center of the village.
