    Getting There

    Walking

    Start at the Gzira waterfront, facing the direction of Valletta. Head towards the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq Gzira. Look for bus routes that go towards Valletta. Take bus number 13, 14, or 16. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminal, exit the bus and walk towards the main entrance of Valletta. Continue straight through the main gate, and you will find yourself on Republic Street. Independence Square is just a short walk from here.

    Walking

    From the central area of Gzira, head towards the seafront promenade along Triq ix-Xatt. Walk along the promenade until you reach the end of the Gzira area, where it merges into Sliema. Keep walking along the coast until you reach the ferry terminal. From there, you can take a ferry to Valletta. The ferry ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Upon arrival at Valletta, follow the signs towards Independence Square, which is a short walk from the ferry terminal.

    Find the nearest bus stop in Gzira and take bus number 13, 14, or 16 heading towards Valletta. The bus will take you directly to the Valletta bus terminal. Once you get off the bus, exit the terminal and walk through the main entrance of Valletta. Proceed down Republic Street, and Independence Square will be located a few minutes walk ahead on your right.
