    Bus

    From Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Triq ix-Xatt). Look for Bus number 51 or 52 heading towards Valletta. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop for 'Birkirkara - D'Arcy Street.' After getting off, switch to Bus number 186, which will take you directly to Mdina. The journey should take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Mdina, follow the signs to the city gates to enter the historic city.

    Begin at the Gzira waterfront, and walk towards Sliema. Head to the Sliema Ferries area where you can catch a bus. Board Bus number 13 or 14 heading towards Valletta. Alight at the Valletta bus terminal. From there, transfer to Bus number 186, which goes directly to Mdina. The total travel time may take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you reach Mdina, follow the signs to the entrance.
