Getting there

Walk

From the central area of Sliema, start at the Sliema Ferries. Head along the waterfront promenade towards the direction of Valletta. The promenade is well-marked and will lead you along the coast, offering beautiful views of the harbor. Continue walking for approximately 30 minutes, following the signs for Valletta.

Public Transport

From Sliema, you can take a bus to Valletta. Locate the nearest bus stop, which is usually along the main road or near the Sliema Ferries area. Look for buses with the number 13, 14, or 16, which all go to Valletta. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and follow the signs to the city center. From there, head towards the Lower Barrakka, which is just a short walk away.

Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Sliema to Valletta. Taxis are available throughout Sliema, and you can either hail one on the street or book through a local taxi service. The drive to Lower Barrakka will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at Lower Barrakka in Valletta.
