If you're starting from the Marsa Sports Complex, exit the complex and head northwest on Triq il-Kunsill Tal-Ewropa. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Triq il-Labour. Turn left onto Triq il-Labour and walk for approximately 400 meters until you reach the bus stop. From here, take bus number 81 towards Birgu. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the 'Birgu' stop. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the waterfront and you will see the Freedom Day Monument located at VGPC+VC3, Birgu, just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
