Starting from the central area of Marsa, head north towards the main road, Triq il-Kbira. Follow this road until you reach the bus stop at Marsa. From here, take the bus number 52 or 53 that is heading towards Valletta. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Disembark at the bus stop called 'Valletta - City Gate'. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the City Gate which leads to Valletta. From City Gate, you can catch the number 81 bus towards Rabat. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Rabat' bus stop. From Rabat, you can walk to Mdina Gate which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs to Mdina, and you will reach the iconic Mdina Gate.
