Car
If you're driving, head towards the main roads leading into Valletta. Use the signs to direct you to the city center. Once you arrive in Valletta, look for Republic Street, which is a central thoroughfare. Park your car at one of the public car parks nearby, such as the Park & Ride facility at Floriana, then walk towards Republic Street. City Gate will be at the end of this street, just beyond the entrance to the city.
Public Transportation
To reach City Gate via public transport, take a bus heading to Valletta. Buses from various parts of Malta frequently arrive at the Valletta bus terminus. Once you're at the bus terminus, exit and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs leading to Republic Street. City Gate is located at the start of Republic Street, and it's hard to miss due to its prominent position.
Walking
If you find yourself already in the vicinity of Marsamxett Harbour, start walking towards the main road leading into Valletta. Head towards the Upper Barracca Gardens, then descend the steps towards Valletta. Once you reach the main area, continue along the road until you arrive at Republic Street. City Gate will be visible at the far end of the street, marking the entrance to the city.
