Walking
If you are already at Marsamxett Harbour, start by walking towards the waterfront promenade. Head southwest along the promenade, enjoying the views of the harbour. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will find the entrance to Fort St. Elmo. From there, follow the signs towards St. Elmo Breakwater, which is located just past the fort. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transport
To reach St. Elmo Breakwater using public transport, you can take bus number 21 or 22 from any bus stop in Marsamxett Harbour. Ensure you are heading towards Valletta. Get off at the 'St. Elmo' bus stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards the breakwater. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic, and it will cost around €1.50.
Taxi
For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Marsamxett Harbour directly to St. Elmo Breakwater. Just tell the driver your destination. The taxi ride should take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic, and expect to pay approximately €10-€15.
Car
If you are driving, head towards the coast road from Marsamxett Harbour. Follow the signs for Valletta, and take the route that leads to Fort St. Elmo. Once at the fort, you can find parking nearby. After parking, walk towards the breakwater, which is a short distance away. Be mindful of parking fees, which can vary depending on the time of day.
