Walking
From the Marsaxlokk waterfront, head towards the main square where the fish market is located. Walk through the square and follow the road leading out of Marsaxlokk towards Birgu. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road, then take the left path. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Birgu. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Birgu. Once in Birgu, head towards Triq Il-Kottonera. You will find the Notre Dame Gate at the end of this street.
Bus
From the Marsaxlokk bus stop located near the main square, catch the bus heading towards Valletta (Route 81 or 82). After about 15 minutes, get off at the Valletta bus terminal. From there, switch to Route 3 or 4 and take the bus towards Birgu. The journey will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Birgu stop, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Triq Il-Kottonera where the Notre Dame Gate is located.
Taxi
Find a local taxi service at the designated taxi stand near the Marsaxlokk waterfront. Inform the driver that you want to go to Notre Dame Gate in Birgu. The ride will take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the location, which is situated on Triq Il-Kottonera.
