Walking
Start at the Mdina Main Gate (also known as the Villegaignon Gate). From the gate, head straight down Triq Villegaignon. Follow this road as it leads you out of the Mdina walls. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Triq tal-Ghajn. Turn left onto Triq tal-Ghajn and continue straight. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the Blue Grotto. Look for the signs indicating 'Blue Grotto' to guide you to the entrance.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Mdina, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the entrance of Mdina, near the Main Gate. Take bus number 201 towards 'Zurrieq'. The journey will take about 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Blue Grotto' stop. Once you disembark, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the Blue Grotto. Follow the signs, and you will arrive in approximately 5 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a taxi from various points in Mdina, including near the Main Gate. Simply ask the driver to take you to the Blue Grotto. The drive will take approximately 15 minutes, and you can expect to pay around 15-20 euros. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your journey.
