Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Mdina's main gate (the Mdina Gate), exit the city through the gate and turn left on the main road. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Xagħra. Continue on this road, keeping an eye out for signs directing you towards Ġgantija. After approximately 500 meters, you will find the entrance to It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija on your right. The archaeological site is well-signposted, so you should have no trouble finding it.

From Mdina, make your way to the nearest bus stop located just outside the city walls near the entrance. Take bus number 81 or 82 towards Xagħra. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Xagħra, disembark at the stop closest to Triq John Otto Bayer. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija. Follow the signs towards the archaeological site, which will lead you directly to the entrance.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Mdina to Ġgantija. You can find taxis near the Mdina Gate. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes.
