Walking
From the Mdina Main Gate, head straight down Triq Villegaignon. Continue until you reach the intersection with Triq San Pawl. Turn left onto Triq San Pawl and follow the road as it meanders. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Rabat, as you'll want to continue towards that direction. Once you reach the Rabat Main Square, look for signs directing you to Ħal Lija. Continue on Triq Santu Wistin, which leads you out of Rabat. After around 15 minutes of walking, you will cross into Ħal Lija. The Lija Parish Church is located on M. Aguis Street, so turn right when you reach it, and you should see the church shortly after.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Mdina Main Gate, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Triq Villegaignon. Catch Bus 51 or Bus 52 towards Valletta. Get off at the Lija stop, which is approximately 15 minutes away. Once you disembark, head towards M. Aguis Street. The Lija Parish Church is located at number 20 M. Aguis, just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start at the Mdina Main Gate and cycle down Triq Villegaignon towards Rabat. Once you enter Rabat, follow the signs for Ħal Lija. The route is fairly straightforward and will take you through scenic areas. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will arrive in Ħal Lija. Look for M. Aguis Street, where the Lija Parish Church is located at number 20.
