Bus
From Mellieha, head to the nearest bus stop which is located on Triq il-Mithna. Take bus number 41 or 42 heading towards Valletta. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Mdina'. Once you disembark, walk towards the main entrance of Mdina. Follow the signs leading to Pjazza Publju, which is the main square in Mdina. The National Museum of Natural History is located directly in this square.

Walking
If you are in central Mellieha, start at Pjazza Sant' Agatha. Walk down Triq il-Mithna towards the bus stop to catch bus number 41 or 42 to Mdina as mentioned above, or you can choose to walk the scenic route. Head south on Triq il-Mithna, then take a right onto Triq il-Mellieħa. Continue straight until you reach the outskirts of Mdina, a distance of about 6 km which will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours of walking. Follow the signs to Mdina, and once you arrive, head to Pjazza Publju.

You can call a local taxi service or use a ride-hailing app to book a taxi from Mellieha to Mdina. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at Pjazza Publju. The National Museum of Natural History is located in the square, and you will easily spot it upon arrival.
