Bus
From Mellieha, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located along Triq il-Kbira. Take the bus heading towards Victoria, Gozo. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the ferry terminal in Cirkewwa, take the ferry to Gozo. After arriving in Gozo, you can catch a bus that goes to Xaghra. Make sure to get off at the Xaghra bus stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Xerri's Grotto. Head south on Triq il-Knisja, then turn right onto Triq Xaghra and follow the signs to the grotto.
Ferry and Bus
Start by walking to the Cirkewwa ferry terminal from Mellieha. This is about a 45-minute walk, or you can take a local bus to save time. Once at the terminal, take the ferry to Gozo. After disembarking, catch a bus to Xaghra. The bus will take you directly to the village. Once you arrive at Xaghra, look for signs directing you to Xerri's Grotto, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

From your location in Mellieha, walk to the nearest bus stop and take a bus towards Cirkewwa. After reaching the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Gozo. Once you arrive in Gozo, use the local bus service to get to Xaghra. Exit the bus at the Xaghra stop and walk towards the grotto by heading southeast on Triq Xaghra for about 10 minutes. You can ask locals for directions if you're unsure, as the grotto is a popular attraction.
