Public Bus
From Mgarr, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the main square. Look for the bus stop marked for route 101 or 103. Take the bus heading towards Naxxar. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Salina' bus stop, which is close to Salina Nature Reserve. From the bus stop, walk along Salina Coast Road for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the entrance of the reserve.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the main square in Mgarr. Head east on the main road (Triq il-Knisja) until you reach the intersection with Triq il-Bajja. Turn right and continue straight. Follow this road as it turns into Triq Naxxar. After approximately 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the Salina Nature Reserve entrance on your left along Salina Coast Road.
Bicycle Rental
You can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mgarr. Once you have your bike, head out of Mgarr towards the main road. Cycle towards Naxxar, following the same route as the public bus (Route 101 or 103). The ride will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed. Upon arrival at the Salina area, look for the entrance to Salina Nature Reserve along Salina Coast Road.
