Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the central area of Naxxar. Head towards Triq il-Kbira, then follow signs for Triq il-Mosta. Continue until you reach the junction with Triq it-Tigrija. Turn onto Triq it-Tigrija and drive straight until you reach the coordinates WC8M+9JP. There is limited parking near the entrance of the Tal-Wej ERA Protected Site. Please ensure to check for any parking fees that might apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, board a bus that operates from Valletta to Naxxar. Bus routes 41, 42, or 43 will take you to Naxxar. Once you arrive at Naxxar, disembark at the bus stop near the main square. From there, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) towards Triq il-Kbira then follow the directions to Triq it-Tigrija, or take a local taxi for about €10 to reach the Tal-Wej ERA Protected Site directly. Make sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary throughout the day.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Naxxar, you can walk to the Tal-Wej ERA Protected Site. Start at the Naxxar parish church, head east on Triq il-Kbira, and continue straight until you reach Triq it-Tigrija. Turn right onto Triq it-Tigrija. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Enjoy the local scenery as you make your way to the site.
