Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south towards Valletta from any location in the Northern Region. Use the main road (Triq il-Kbira) and follow the signs for Valletta. Once you reach the outskirts of Valletta, continue onto the Sliema Road (Triq Sliema). As you approach Gżira, look for signs directing you towards Manoel Island. Park your car in one of the nearby public parking spots, as on-street parking may be limited.
Public Transportation
Using public transportation, take a bus from your location in the Northern Region to Valletta. Look for buses that go to Valletta's main bus terminal. Once in Valletta, switch to bus number 13 or 14 towards Sliema. Get off at the stop for Gżira. From there, it's a short walk towards the waterfront where you can find the access point to Manoel Island. Follow the signs leading to the fort.
Ferry
After reaching Gżira by public transport or car, you can take a ferry directly to Manoel Island. The ferry departs from the Gżira waterfront. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance as it may vary. The ferry ride is typically inexpensive, costing around €2-€3 one way. Once you arrive at Manoel Island, follow the signs to Fort Manoel.
