Bus
From Qawra, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq il-Korp tal-Pijunieri. Take bus number 223 towards Ghajnsielem. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ghajnsielem bus stop, exit the bus and head towards the direction of the sea. Walk straight down Triq il-Lanzarote until you reach the coastline. You will find Xatt l-Aħmar Salt Pans along the shoreline, just a short walk from the bus stop.

Walk
If you prefer to walk, start from Qawra and head along the promenade towards Bugibba. Continue along the promenade past Bugibba until you reach the end of the coastline. From there, follow the signs towards Ghajnsielem, which will lead you along a scenic path. This walk can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, but it offers beautiful views of the sea and surrounding areas.

For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Qawra directly to Xatt l-Aħmar Salt Pans. Just flag down a taxi or use a taxi app to request one. The drive will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you off close to the salt pans.
