Getting There

Walking
From the center of Sliema, head towards the Sliema Ferries area along the promenade. Continue walking along the seafront until you reach the Tigne Point area. Keep walking in the same direction, passing by the Tigne Point shopping mall. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Gżira waterfront. From here, look for the signs directing you to Manoel Island. You will need to walk along the promenade until you reach the bridge that connects Gżira to Manoel Island. Cross the bridge, and Fort Manoel will be located directly in front of you on the island.

From Sliema, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Sliema Ferries. You can take bus number 13, 14, or 16 towards Valletta. Get off at the stop called 'Gżira.' After exiting the bus, walk straight towards the waterfront. Once you reach the Gżira waterfront, follow the promenade until you see the bridge leading to Manoel Island. Cross the bridge, and you will find Fort Manoel directly ahead.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Sliema. Simply inform the driver to take you to Fort Manoel on Manoel Island. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance to the fort on the island.
