Getting There

Ferry
From Sliema, head towards the Sliema Ferries terminal, which is located along the waterfront. Look for the signs pointing to the ferry service to Valletta. Purchase a ticket at the kiosk or from the ticket machine, and board the ferry. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes and offers beautiful views of the harbor. Once you arrive at the Valletta Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards the main road, Triq Sant' Orsla. The Upper Barrakka is a short walk from the terminal.

Bus
Walk to the nearest bus stop in Sliema, which is located along the main road, Triq Tigne. Look for buses that are heading towards Valletta. You can take bus numbers 13, 14, or 15. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Valletta, get off at the stop ‘Misrah il-Buskett’. From there, walk up Triq Sant' Orsla, and you will reach Upper Barrakka in about 5-10 minutes.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can follow the coastal promenade from Sliema to Valletta, which is a scenic route. Start at the Sliema Waterfront and walk towards the Tigne Point shopping area. Continue along the promenade until you reach the end near the Valletta city gate. From there, walk up through the main entrance into Valletta, then take a right onto Triq Sant' Orsla. Upper Barrakka will be on your left in about 10 minutes.
