Getting there

Car

If you are driving, head towards Valletta. From the South Eastern Region, take the main road towards Valletta. Follow signs for Valletta and enter the city through the City Gate. Once in Valletta, follow the signs to Battery Street. The Saluting Battery is located on Battery Street, and you can park at nearby public parking areas. Please note that parking in Valletta can be limited and may incur costs of around €1.50 per hour.

Public Transportation

To reach Saluting Battery via public transport, take the bus number 81, 82, or 85 from various locations in the South Eastern Region towards Valletta. The bus journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and walk towards the City Gate. From there, follow the signs to Battery Street. The Saluting Battery is just a short 10-minute walk from the terminus.

Walking

If you are already in Valletta, you can reach the Saluting Battery on foot. From the main square in Valletta, head towards the Upper Barracca Gardens. After enjoying the gardens, continue walking towards Battery Street, where the Saluting Battery is located. This walk will take around 15 minutes and offers stunning views of the Grand Harbour along the way.

Taxi

Alternatively, you can take a taxi to Saluting Battery. Taxis are available throughout the South Eastern Region and can be hailed or booked via various apps. The fare will depend on your starting location, but expect to pay around €15-€25 from nearby towns to Valletta. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
