Getting There

Bus
From St. Julian's, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Triq Sant'Andrija). Take bus number 13 or 134 towards Valletta. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Valletta terminus, which is the last stop. Once you arrive, head towards the main entrance of Valletta and follow the signs to the Upper Barracca Gardens. The Barrakka Lift is located near the gardens, and you will see it as you walk towards the waterfront.

Ferry
From St. Julian's, make your way to the Sliema Ferry Terminal. You can either walk (approximately 30 minutes along the coast) or take a local bus to Sliema. Once at the terminal, take the ferry to Valletta. The ferry ride is about 15 minutes. Once you disembark in Valletta, walk towards the Upper Barracca Gardens, where the Barrakka Lift is located. Follow the signs leading to the gardens.

If you're up for a scenic walk, head towards the coast and follow the promenade from St. Julian's to Valletta. The walk is approximately 2.5 km and will take around 30-40 minutes. As you approach Valletta, you will see the entrance gate to the city. Enter Valletta and follow the signs to the Upper Barracca Gardens. The Barrakka Lift will be nearby.
