From St. Julian's, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Take the bus number 202 or 203 towards Valletta. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Valletta, transfer to bus number 51, 52, or 53 heading towards Mdina. Get off at the 'Mdina' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the Mdina Gate, which is roughly a 10-minute walk straight ahead.

If you prefer walking and the weather is nice, you can walk from St. Julian's to Mdina. Start by walking towards Spinola Bay and then follow Triq Sant'Andrija until you reach the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Continue straight along Triq il-Kbira until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit towards Mdina. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
For a more comfortable and quicker option, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Bolt or Uber. Simply request a ride to 'Mdina Gate.' The journey will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you off directly at the entrance of Mdina.
