Getting There

Walking
From the Tarxien Temples, head north on Triq il-Knisja towards Triq il-Wied. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Triq il-Gardiel. Follow this road until you reach the main road, Vjal de la Cruz. Turn left onto Vjal de la Cruz and walk until you reach the bus stop for route 12/13. Take the bus towards Valletta and disembark at the stop for Sliema Ferries. From there, continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the ferry terminal. Cross the water on the ferry, which will take you to Manoel Island. Once you arrive on Manoel Island, follow the signs to Fort Manoel.

Public Transport
Start at the Tarxien bus stop located along Vjal de la Cruz. Board the bus number 12 or 13 heading towards Valletta. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Sliema Ferries stop. From there, you can either take a short walk along the promenade to the ferry terminal or directly board the ferry that takes you to Manoel Island. Once you arrive at the island, follow the paths leading to Fort Manoel.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Tarxien to Fort Manoel. Start by heading north on Triq il-Knisja, then take a right onto Triq il-Gardiel. Follow this road until you reach Vjal de la Cruz. Turn left and cycle along the road until you reach the bus station at Sliema Ferries. From there, you can park your bike and take the ferry to Manoel Island. After docking, continue your journey to Fort Manoel by following the signs.
