  • Walking

    From the Tarxien Temples, head northwest on Triq il-Knisja towards Triq il-Belt Valletta. Continue straight until you reach the main road, Triq il-Belt Valletta. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the bus terminal, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. At the bus terminal, take bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. After a short ride of about 10 minutes, get off at the stop called 'Valletta, City Gate'. From there, walk towards the entrance of Valletta and head straight through the main gate, passing the Parliament building on your right. Continue straight along Republic Street until you see the signs for Upper Barrakka Gardens on your left. Enter the gardens and enjoy the stunning views.

    From Tarxien, make your way to the nearest bus stop located on Triq il-Knisja. Board bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Valletta, City Gate', disembark the bus and walk through the main gate into Valletta. Continue along Republic Street, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Upper Barrakka Gardens. Turn left when you see the signs, and follow the path into the gardens.
