    Getting There

    Walking

    From Tarxien, start walking towards the nearest bus stop which is located on Triq il-Knisja. Once you reach the bus stop, take bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. When you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and head towards the main entrance of Valletta. Continue walking along Triq ir-Repubblika, which is the main street in Valletta. Keep walking straight until you reach the end of the street where it meets with the Lower Barracca Garden. From there, turn left onto Battery Street. The Saluting Battery will be on your right side, just a short walk down Battery Street.

    If you prefer to walk directly from Tarxien to Valletta, exit Tarxien and head towards the main road, Triq il-Knisja. Walk north until you reach the intersection with Triq San Tumas. Turn left on Triq San Tumas and continue straight. You will eventually reach the entrance of Valletta. Once you enter the city, follow the same route: head towards Triq ir-Repubblika and then towards Lower Barracca Garden. Turn left onto Battery Street to reach the Saluting Battery.
