    Getting There

    Walking

    From the central area of Gzira, head towards the waterfront promenade (known as 'The Strand'). Walk along the promenade in the direction of Sliema. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the Tigne Point area. Here, continue walking along the promenade, enjoying views of Valletta across the harbor. As you approach the ferry terminal, keep walking straight until you reach the ferry service to Valletta. Purchase a ferry ticket (the ferry operates frequently), and board the ferry heading towards Valletta. The crossing takes about 10 minutes, providing scenic views of the harbor.

    Once you disembark from the ferry at Valletta, walk straight towards the city center. Follow the signs leading to the Upper Barracca Gardens. As you exit the ferry terminal, take a right onto Triq Il-Lvant, and then continue straight until you reach the gardens. Enjoy the views from the gardens. From the Upper Barracca Gardens, exit towards the city and follow the signs to the 'National Museum of Archaeology.' Continue down the road until you see the entrance to Fort Lascaris, which is located at VFS Valletta 2. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes from the ferry terminal.
