Bus
From Valletta, head to the main bus terminal located just outside the city gates, near the entrance of the city. Look for the bus numbers '81' or '85' which go directly to Marsaxlokk. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Marsaxlokk, the bus will drop you off near the waterfront area, which is the main attraction.
Ferry
From the Valletta Ferry Terminal, take the ferry to Sliema. Once you arrive in Sliema, walk to the bus stop and catch bus number '81' or '85' towards Marsaxlokk. After about 30 minutes of travel, you will arrive at the Marsaxlokk waterfront. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the harbor and is a popular choice among tourists.
Walking
While it's quite a distance to walk from Valletta to Marsaxlokk, if you are adventurous and enjoy walking, you can take the scenic route along the coastline. Start at the Upper Barracca Gardens, head towards the historic Three Cities, and then follow the coastline towards Marsaxlokk. This will take several hours and requires good walking shoes, so be prepared for a long journey.
