Walking
If you are in the heart of Valletta, head towards Republic Street, which is the main thoroughfare of the city. Walk straight along Republic Street, passing by several shops and cafes. City Gate will be prominently located at the end of the street, just before you reach the entrance to the Upper Barracca Gardens. It is easy to spot due to its grand architecture.
Public Transport
If you are further away from the city center, you can take the public bus to the Valletta terminus. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus station, exit the station and turn left onto the main road. Follow the road to Republic Street, where you will find City Gate at the end of the street.
Walking from Upper Barracca Gardens
If you are at the Upper Barracca Gardens, exit the gardens and head down the steps towards the city. Once you reach the bottom, turn left onto the main road and walk straight until you reach Republic Street. City Gate will be on your right, marking the entrance to Valletta.
