Bus
From Valletta, walk to the main bus terminal located just outside the city gates. Look for the buses heading towards Tarxien. You can catch the bus number 81 or 82. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Tarxien' bus stop. Once you exit the bus, walk straight ahead along Triq It Tempji Neolitici for about 5 minutes until you reach the Tarxien Temples on your left.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from any point in Valletta. Simply request the taxi driver to take you to 'Tarxien Temples, Triq It Tempji Neolitici.' The drive should take around 15 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis can be found at designated taxi ranks or you can use a ride-hailing app.
Walk
For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route. Start from the Upper Barracca Gardens in Valletta and head towards the Valletta Waterfront. From there, follow the signs to the Fort Saint Elmo and continue towards the main road. Walk along the coast until you reach the area of Ħal Tarxien. It’s a longer walk of about 1.5 hours but offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the main road, head to Triq It Tempji Neolitici where the Tarxien Temples are located.
