Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Gżira. From the center of the Western District, follow the signs towards Valletta. Once you reach Valletta, take the exit towards Gżira. Continue driving until you see signs for Manoel Island. Parking is available near the entrance to Fort Manoel, but be mindful of any parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, catch a bus heading towards Valletta from any point in the Western District. Look for bus numbers 13, 14, or 15. Disembark at the Valletta Terminus, then transfer to bus number 12 or 13 towards Gżira. Get off at the stop closest to Manoel Island. From there, it’s a short walk across the bridge to Fort Manoel. The bus fare is typically around €1.50 for a single journey.
Walking
If you are already in Gżira, you can walk to Fort Manoel. Start from the Gżira waterfront and head towards the bridge that connects Gżira to Manoel Island. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views of the harbor along the way.
