Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Rabat, head south on Triq il-Kbira towards Triq il-Maqdes. Continue on Triq il-Maqdes until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Triq Nazzjonali. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto Triq Ic Cimiterju. Continue straight for about 500 meters, and you will see the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum on your right. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum using public transport, take Bus Route 81 or 82 from Valletta. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop, which is 'Hal Saflieni' (approximately a 30-minute ride). From the bus stop, walk for about 5 minutes towards Triq Ic Cimiterju. The entrance to the Hypogeum will be on your left. Please note that bus tickets cost around €1.50 for a single journey.

  • Walking

    If you are in the vicinity of Paola, you can walk to Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum. Start on Triq il-Maqdes, head south, and turn onto Triq Ic Cimiterju. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the center of Paola. Make sure to follow the signs to the Hypogeum along the way.
