Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Xaghra, head south on Triq il-Knisja towards Triq il-Lunzjata. Continue straight until you reach the main intersection. At the intersection, take a right turn onto Triq San Martin. Follow this road as it winds through the countryside, and after about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the outskirts of Victoria. Once in Victoria, continue straight onto Triq il-Punent. As you walk, you will see signs pointing towards the Citadel. Follow these signs until you reach the entrance of the Citadel, located at It-Telgħa tal-Belt.

    From Xaghra, make your way to the nearest bus stop located on Triq il-Knisja. Board the bus heading towards Victoria (bus number 42 or 45). The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Victoria bus station, exit the bus and walk towards Triq il-Punent. Follow the signs towards the Citadel, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. As you walk, keep an eye out for the Citadel's distinctive walls.
