Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Xewkija, start by heading south on Triq Sant'Antnin towards Triq il-Knisja. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq il-Belt Valletta. Follow this road as it curves and becomes Triq il-Knisja. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path leading uphill. Continue along this path until you reach the Mgarr ix-Xini viewpoint, which is located on your left side. The viewpoint is marked by a small sign and offers breathtaking views of the bay.

• Public Transport

  While there is no direct bus route to Mgarr ix-Xini from Xewkija, you can take a local bus from Xewkija to Sannat. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near the village square. Once you arrive in Sannat, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can walk towards Mgarr ix-Xini. Head southeast on Triq il-Knisja, then take the left path leading uphill at the fork. After a short walk, you will arrive at the viewpoint.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Xewkija and start your trip towards Mgarr ix-Xini. Begin by cycling south on Triq Sant'Antnin towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq il-Belt Valletta. Continue along this road, keeping to the left as it turns into Triq il-Knisja. When you reach the fork in the road, take the left uphill path. The viewpoint will be on your left after a short climb. Exercise caution on the roads, as they can be narrow.
