Getting There

Walking
Start at the Xewkija Parish Church, a prominent landmark in the area. From the church, head southeast on Triq il-Knisja towards the main road, Triq il-Wied. Turn left onto Triq il-Wied and continue straight for about 1 km. You will pass by various houses and local shops. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing to Xagħra. After approximately 1 km, you will reach a junction; take the right fork onto Triq l-Imdina. Continue along this road, which will take you through a more rural area. After another 800 meters, turn left onto Triq il-Madonna tal-Grazzja, and follow it for about 500 meters. Look for the signs to Calypso Cave, which will direct you to a pathway that leads to the cave entrance.

Public Transport
From Xewkija, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Triq il-Wied. Take the bus towards Xagħra; the bus number 302 or 303 will take you there. The journey is about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Xagħra, get off and head towards the main square. From the square, walk north on Triq l-Imdina for about 1 km. You will see signs for Calypso Cave along the way. Follow the path leading to the cave entrance.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Xewkija. Start at the Xewkija Parish Church and head southeast onto Triq il-Knisja. Turn left onto Triq il-Wied and continue for about 1 km. Once you reach the junction, take the right fork onto Triq l-Imdina. Continue for about 800 meters before turning left onto Triq il-Madonna tal-Grazzja. The cave entrance will be accessible from a path at the end of this road.
