Getting there

Walking

From the main area of Xlendi, start by heading towards the main road (Triq il-Lunzjata) that leads out of the village. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop. Here, you can catch a bus towards Victoria (Rabat). Once on the bus, ask the driver to notify you when you reach Xagħra. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. After getting off at the Xagħra bus stop, head towards Triq John Otto Bayer, where It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija is located. The entrance to the archaeological site will be on your left after about a 5-minute walk.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Xlendi to It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija. Simply find a taxi at the designated taxi stand in Xlendi, or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Inform the driver that you want to go to Triq John Otto Bayer in Xagħra. The trip will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bicycle Rental

If you are feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Xlendi. Head towards the main road (Triq il-Lunzjata) and follow it to the roundabout. Take the first exit towards Victoria and continue until you see signs for Xagħra. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach Xagħra, look for Triq John Otto Bayer, and It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija will be nearby. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
