Getting There

  • Car

    From Żebbuġ, head north on Triq il-Knisja (Church Street) towards Triq San Guzepp. Continue straight until you reach Triq il-Wilga. Turn left onto Triq il-Wilga and continue until you reach the junction with Triq San Anton. Turn right onto Triq San Anton and continue straight until you reach the coast. Follow the signs to Xwejni Salt Pans. The salt pans are located at 36JR+6C, just off the coast road. Parking is available near the site.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the bus from Żebbuġ to Victoria (Rabat), which is the central town in Gozo. You can catch the bus from the main bus stop in Żebbuġ. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Once in Victoria, transfer to bus line 307 towards Marsalforn. This bus will take you close to Xwejni Salt Pans. Get off at the stop nearest to the coast and walk approximately 10 minutes towards the salt pans. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times to plan your trip accordingly.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of Żebbuġ and prefer to walk, head towards the coastline from the village center. Follow the coastal paths towards Xwejni. It's approximately a 30-minute walk, and you'll enjoy scenic views along the way. Follow signs towards the salt pans once you get closer to the coast.
