From downtown Annapolis, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at West Street and Church Circle. Board the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Route 201 bus heading towards North Beach. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Chesapeake Beach stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the beach area.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike shop in Annapolis. Start your journey from the City Dock area and head east along the scenic routes, following the signs towards the B&A Trail. Continue on the B&A Trail for about 14 miles until you reach the Chesapeake Beach area. The ride may take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Chesapeake Beach, follow the local signs to the beach area.
Walking
While walking to Chesapeake Beach from Annapolis is quite a trek, it's possible if you're up for a long journey. Start at the City Dock and head north towards the B&A Trail. Once on the trail, follow it for approximately 14 miles until you reach the town of Chesapeake Beach. This walk can take around 4-5 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Upon arrival in Chesapeake Beach, you will find directions to the beach area.
