From the Maryland State House located at 100 State Circle, Annapolis, walk to the nearest bus stop at State Circle & Main St. Take the Annapolis Transit Bus 99 towards the Westfield Annapolis Mall. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus stop at the Westfield Annapolis Mall. From there, transfer to the Washington D.C. Metro by taking the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus towards the Greenbelt Metro Station. Once you arrive at the Greenbelt Metro Station, take the Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Disembark at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Finally, transfer to the Red Line towards Glenmont and get off at the Dupont Circle Metro Station. Walk approximately 7 minutes north on Connecticut Avenue NW to reach Madhatter at 1319 Connecticut Ave NW.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can bike to Madhatter. Start at the Maryland State House and head south on State Circle towards Main St. Turn right on Main St, then left on West St. Follow West St until you reach the entrance of the scenic B&A Trail. Take the trail north, which will lead you towards the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail. Continue on this trail until you reach the intersection with the Capital Crescent Trail. Transition onto the Capital Crescent Trail heading towards Washington D.C. Follow the trail until you reach the city, then navigate towards Connecticut Ave NW. It will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Madhatter via this route, depending on your biking speed.

If you're feeling adventurous and wish to walk, start at the Maryland State House located at 100 State Circle. Walk west down Main St until you reach West St. Turn right onto West St and continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East St. Turn left on East St, which will lead you to the Eastport area. Continue walking straight until you reach the Annapolis Harbor. From there, head towards the Route 50 bridge and take the pedestrian pathway across. Once across, head towards the D.C. area, which is about a 35-minute walk across the bridge. Madhatter is located approximately 1 mile from the bridge on Connecticut Ave NW, which will take about 20 minutes to walk to.
