Walking
If you are starting from the historic district of Annapolis, head south on Main Street towards the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with West Street. Turn right on West Street and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Keep walking until you reach the entrance of the United States Naval Academy at the corner of West Street and King George Street. Enter the Academy grounds and follow the signs towards the Naval Academy Chapel. The Tripoli Monument is located just a short walk from the chapel, in a small park area.

From the Maryland State House, walk to the nearest bus stop at Church Circle. Take the Annapolis Transit Route 1 bus towards the Naval Academy. The bus will take you close to the Academy. Get off at the Naval Academy stop and walk towards the entrance. Once inside, follow the signs to the Naval Academy Chapel. The Tripoli Monument is located nearby in the park area.
