Metro
From the Bethesda Metro Station, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride for 7 stops and get off at the King Street-Old Town Metro Station in Alexandria. Once you exit the station, head east on King Street. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Alexandria Visitor Center at 221 King St on your left.

From the Bethesda area, catch the Metrobus route 29W or 29N from the bus stop at Wisconsin Ave & Bethesda Ave. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at King St & Alfred St in Alexandria. From there, walk west along King Street for about 5 minutes, and the Alexandria Visitor Center will be on your right at 221 King St.

If you are in the downtown area of Bethesda, you can walk to the Alexandria Visitor Center. Start by heading south on Wisconsin Ave towards Montgomery Ave. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with East West Hwy. Turn left and walk towards the Rock Creek Park trail. Follow the trail until you reach the waterfront area in Old Town Alexandria. From the waterfront, head north on King Street for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at 221 King St.

If you have access to a bike, you can ride from Bethesda to the Alexandria Visitor Center. Start by heading south on the Capital Crescent Trail. Continue on the trail, which will lead you towards the Potomac River. Once you reach the waterfront, use the bike lanes to navigate to King Street. Follow King Street for about 10-15 minutes, and the Alexandria Visitor Center at 221 King St will be on your left.
