Getting There

  • Metro

    From Bethesda Metro Station, take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride for 8 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. Here, transfer to the Yellow Line train towards Greenbelt. After 2 stops, get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Station. Once you exit, follow the signs for the Waterfront. Walk south on 7th Street SW until you reach Maine Avenue SW, then turn left. The Wharf DC will be on your right at 760 Maine Ave SW.

  • Bus

    From the Bethesda Transit Center, board the Ride On Bus route 34 towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the L'Enfant Plaza stop. From there, walk south down 7th Street SW until you reach Maine Avenue SW. Turn left onto Maine Avenue and you will find The Wharf DC at 760 Maine Ave SW.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from downtown Bethesda, head south on Wisconsin Avenue until you reach the intersection with East-West Highway (MD 410). Turn right and walk until you reach the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, take the Metro as previously detailed to L'Enfant Plaza. Alternatively, you can walk approximately 6 miles south directly to The Wharf DC. Follow Wisconsin Avenue and then turn onto 7th Street SW, continuing until you reach Maine Avenue SW.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bike, you can ride from Bethesda to The Wharf DC. Start by heading south on Wisconsin Avenue, then take a left onto the Capital Crescent Trail. This scenic route will take you through parks and alongside the Potomac River. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with the C&O Canal Towpath.
