Start at Billy Goat Trail. Head south on the trail and exit onto MD-190 East. Merge onto I-495 South toward Richmond. Take exit 30B to merge onto I-295 North. Continue on I-295 North, then take exit 1A for US-50 East. Follow US-50 East for about 6 miles, then take the exit for I-395 North. After about 2 miles, take exit 8C for New York Ave. Turn left onto New York Ave NW. Continue straight for about 2 miles, then turn right onto 5th St NE. Union Market will be on your right at 1309 5th St NE.

From Billy Goat Trail, walk to the nearest bus stop (check local maps for specifics). Take the bus that heads to the nearest Metro station, such as the Grosvenor-Strathmore station. Board the Metro on the Red Line towards Glenmont. Transfer at Gallery Place-Chinatown to the Yellow or Green Line towards Greenbelt or Branch Ave, respectively. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station, and take the Metro on the Red Line towards Silver Spring. Get off at the NoMa-Gallaudet U station. Exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes east on Florida Ave NE, then turn left onto 5th St NE. Union Market will be on your right at 1309 5th St NE.
