    If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-495 N from your location in the Capital Region. Follow the signs for I-95 N toward Baltimore. After about 10 miles, take exit 30B for US-50 E toward Annapolis. Continue on US-50 E for about 5 miles, then take exit 2A to merge onto New York Ave NE toward Washington. Continue on New York Ave for approximately 2 miles. The entrance to the United States National Arboretum, where the National Capitol Columns are located, will be on your left at 3501 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002. Parking is available at the Arboretum, but parking may incur a fee, so check ahead for current rates.

    To reach the National Capitol Columns via public transportation, start by finding the nearest Metro station. If you are near the Red Line, board a train heading toward Glenmont. Transfer at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station to the Yellow Line heading toward Greenbelt. Get off at the Fort Totten station. From the Fort Totten Metro Station, you can take the Metrobus (Route K6 or K9) toward the United States National Arboretum. Disembark at the stop nearest the Arboretum entrance. The National Capitol Columns are located within the Arboretum grounds. Be sure to check the Metro and bus schedules for the latest information. Note that there may be a fare for the Metro and bus rides, so have your SmarTrip card or cash ready.
