Car
If you're driving to The Yards, start by getting onto I-95 N from your location in the Capital Region. Follow I-95 N and I-295 N to Howard Road SE in Washington, D.C. Take exit 1B from I-295 N. Continue on Howard Road SE, then turn left onto First Street SE. The Yards will be on your left at 1300 First St SE. Parking may be available nearby, but please check local signage for any fees or time restrictions.
Metro
To reach The Yards by Metro, find the nearest station in the Capital Region. Take the Metro's Green Line towards Branch Avenue and transfer at L'Enfant Plaza to the Yellow Line. Continue on the Yellow Line towards Huntington and disembark at the Navy Yard-Ballpark station. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk: exit the station and head east on M Street SE, then turn left onto First Street SE. The Yards will be located at 1300 First St SE. A Metro fare card will be required for your trip, with costs varying based on the distance traveled.
Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, look for the nearest bus stop in your area. You can take the Metrobus route that goes to the Navy Yard. For example, the P6 bus runs frequently from various locations in the Capital Region to the Navy Yard. Once you arrive at the Navy Yard stop, walk north on New Jersey Avenue SE and then turn left onto First Street SE. The Yards will be located at 1300 First St SE. Bus fares typically cost $2.00, and exact change is required.
