Getting There

  • Car

    From the main entrance of Catoctin Mountain Park, head south on MD-77 towards Thurmont. Turn left onto US-15 S. Continue on US-15 S for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 13 toward MD-26 E/Libertytown. Merge onto MD-26 E and continue for about 5 miles. Turn left onto MD-194 N and follow it for about 3 miles. Finally, turn right onto Nature Center Place. Fountain Rock Nature Center will be on your left at 8511 Nature Center Place, Walkersville, MD 21793.

    If you are using public transportation, you will need to first take a bus or shuttle service to Frederick, MD.
