    If you're starting from the Columbia Town Center, head southeast on Little Patuxent Parkway. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Broken Land Parkway. Turn right onto Broken Land Parkway and walk for another 0.5 miles. You will see a pedestrian crosswalk; take this to cross over to the other side. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the entrance to Patuxent Branch Trail. Lake Elkhorn Park is located along this trail, and you will see signs directing you to the park.

    From the Columbia Town Center, take the Route 404 bus towards the Owen Brown Village Center. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop and stay on for approximately 15 minutes. Disembark at the Owen Brown Village Center stop. From there, walk south for about 0.2 miles to reach the entrance of Patuxent Branch Trail. Follow the trail signs for approximately 0.5 miles to arrive at Lake Elkhorn Park.

    If you have access to a bike, start from the Columbia Town Center and bike east on the Little Patuxent Trail. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Broken Land Parkway.
