Turn right onto Elk Neck Road and continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Irishtown Road. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Elk Neck State Forest on your left. Look for the sign indicating the forest entrance.

    Public transportation options to Elk Neck State Forest are limited. If you're starting from North East, MD, take the Harford Transit bus (Route 2) towards Elkton. Get off at the stop on Elk Neck Road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile down Elk Neck Road until you reach Irishtown Road.
