Start your journey at the Frederick City Hall located at 101 N Court St, Frederick, MD 21701. Head south on N Court St towards W Patrick St. Turn left onto W Patrick St and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will reach the intersection with Ballenger Creek Pike (MD-351). Cross W Patrick St and proceed straight onto Ballenger Creek Pike. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see Ballenger Creek Park on your left at 5420 Ballenger Creek Pike. The park features several amenities and beautiful walking paths.
Bicycle
Begin your bike ride from the Frederick City Park located at 121 N Bentz St, Frederick, MD 21701. Head north on Bentz St and then turn left onto W 2nd St. Continue straight to reach the intersection with Ballenger Creek Pike. Turn right onto Ballenger Creek Pike and follow it for about 2 miles. You will find the entrance to Ballenger Creek Park on your left at 5420 Ballenger Creek Pike. The ride is scenic and leisurely, perfect for casual biking.
Public Transit
From downtown Frederick, walk to the nearest bus stop at 101 N Court St, where you can catch the TransIT bus route 60. Board the bus heading towards the Ballenger Creek area. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes; it will take you along Ballenger Creek Pike. Get off at the stop closest to 5420 Ballenger Creek Pike. The park will be just a short walk from the bus stop. Check the TransIT schedule for the most accurate departure times.
