If you are in downtown Frederick, head east on East Patrick Street towards North Market Street. Continue straight until you reach North Market Street, then turn left. Walk north for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Urbana Pike (US-355). Cross the street and continue walking north along Urbana Pike. The Monocacy National Battlefield entrance will be on your left at 5201 Urbana Pike. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles.

From downtown Frederick, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start your ride on East Patrick Street, heading east until you reach North Market Street, where you will turn left. Continue biking north on North Market Street until it merges with Urbana Pike (US-355). Follow Urbana Pike for about 1 mile, and you will find Monocacy National Battlefield on your left. This route is about 2 miles and is bike-friendly.
